ALGATAC has been a very popular algaecide since 1984 for the control and prevention of green & black algae in swimming pools in New Zealand and in Australia, Fiji and Tahiti since 1990.
A stronger version was developed for hot climates such as the gold coast in Australia, Fiji & Tahiti and we call that HOTZONE. This has been very popular since 1990
Demand called for a winter control so using the same basic product and modifying it for the conditions we developed WINTERISER. This has also been very popular since 1990
For cooler climates or mild cases of algae we have a lighter dose algaecide we call simply ALGAE KILLER.
Some prefer a non metalic based algaecide and this led to the introduction of a polymer based product simply known as METAL FREE. While not as effective as the copper based Algatac, Hotzone, Algae Killer and Winteriser it is still very effective.
Swimming pools do become murky or cloudy and that led to the development of CLARIFIER. Using a polymer base Algon's CLAFIFIER has been very successful for over 10 years.
Many users prefer the Aluminium Sulphate or Alum treatment for clearing cloudy pool water. This is an old treatment and has now been superseded by the introduction of aluminium in a polymer form known in our range simply asFLOC. This enables the treatment to be a liquid rather than granules therefore much easier to use. The base is Polyaluminium Chloride.
Moss, mould, slime and lichen make the decking and surrounds very slippery and unsightly. SLIME STRIKE will remove that and leave a residue that will prevent it from returning for up to 12 months. SLIME STRIKE is slow working, just spray or brush it on and let nature do the rest. It wont happen overnight but it will happen.
